Jottings from field trip on 31st August'12

[Note: All the analysis are in italics.]
Class 9th B
(Tamil medium)
Tamil class
Students are friendly/ Our entry created too much ruffle/ I sat with U and S./ All girls have long hair which are tied into plaits./ In between the In-charge came to inform students that we were there and hence, they needed to maintain discipline and show their best./ The way the students were queuing up after getting the answer sheets reminds me of how old-age people queue up for pension. The students had a submissive attitude./ I sensed a certain kind of smell which I couldn't recognize though. / U was good in studies. She scored 23/ 30 in Tamil and 24/ 30 in English.
English class
The class teacher teaches them English./ He is very strict./ The entire class anonymously agreed to the same./ According to them the Tamil teacher was supposedly good. Though I found her bit strict./ According to the students beside me, the teacher beats them occasionally./ One R was very fast in cleaning the blackboard./ Rot-learning was practised./ Someone to  the left had scored 12 out of 30 and I was wondering what he was following, what he was staring at in the paper...felt bad for him.

Skylark
Class 8th B
Drawing class
I was sitting next to the girls'./ All kids were following teacher's instructions./ Paper plates have been cut into flower-shaped forms./ The students are asked to colour them./ Only the petals were to be coloured, not the centre./ The students were particular about me not colouring the centre, which I did./ The main motto was not to create something new but filling inside the demarcated zone./ The students were sitting based on their gender./ The students worked diligently./ Few boys on the other side were not following the instructions fully./ The teacher was more concerned relaying the information but they did not ask for feedback from the students./ I also did not notice any student asking for extra flower. It was almost like they were just concerned with following the instructions./ Another thing I noticed was that the teacher was more concerned with counting for the flowers and whether all were returned or not.

Analysis
Getting back to my overall experience, I find it extremely limiting in terms of delivering the instructions. The part which I remember most was when the class teacher entered 9th B...I was wondering how does facing to a class with  a stick in hand help in delivering lectures?
