Following are my observations for 31/07/12
The school
-KiranThe school
- It is government run
- 105 years old
- Approx. student strength is 650
- The entire school structure is not-for-profit
- Primary school was started in 1907
- High school was started in 1971
- Classes start at 9:15. Standard 10th students start early at 8:15
- They have mandatory physical exercises in the morning assembly
- Every class lasts for 40 minutes
- Skylight gives value added education to the students
- They have Tamil as their first language till 7th. After which they have the option of choosing between English and Tamil from class 8th.
- In terms of exams, they have 2 exams and 4 tests
- According to the RTE, it is compulsory to give education to children till 14 years of age, meaning if a student come for admission, they cannot be turned away.
- The school follows the Karnataka state board.
- They also have sports and yoga
- They have 3 events in the whole year.

Hi Kiran
While all these facts are relevant and useful, you need to write much more detailed field notes as some of the examples posted here show (perhaps these are in your journal?) Also do post your research question - or you could join one of the others who is researching a question that is interesting to you.
